When I spoke at Robert Crayhon’s conference Boulderfest 2005, I had to speak right after Dr. Abramson and for the first time I was nervous as he received four standing ovations for his blistering critique of the drug industry. His book, Overdosed America is a classic and should be read by anyone interested in their own health.

A pioneer in making people aware of the cholesterol and heart disease myth, Dr. Ufte Ravnskov lays it on the line in this interview. I had the absolute pleasure of sitting next to him on a panel about heart disease at Robert Crayhon’s conference, Boulderfest 2005. I also got to talk to him that evening and was very impressed by his graciousness and intelligence. His book, The Cholesterol Myth is an absolute must read.

Health – Let’s Talk About Real Health

So what will this blog be about? What is different from my other blogs? Well let me fill you in on what my plans are. First off, I will be uploading my podcasts, Let’s Talk Real Health, both old and new. I’ve got plans to interview a wide variety of people in the health care industry and sharing their insights with you. On top of that, I’ll be writing regular blogs on health issues of the day as well as commenting on health issues from the past.

Another great new addition will be a rebroadcast of the late Robert Crayhon’s Nutritional Medical Update thanks to permission from the good people at Complimentary Prescriptions. Robert’s interviews with some of the top people in health and wellness was some of the most enlightening listens that I have ever heard. You will enjoy them if you heard them for the first time or if you’ve heard them countless times, they are that good.

Yet another feature will be an answer to one of the questions I’m most asked, namely, “What books would you recommend that I read to learn more about the field of good health?” Once or twice a week, I will recommend books that are either for the layman or for the professional that have information that is solid, helpful and is scientifically based.

While there is much misinformation of the internet, there are some really good blog and information sites as well. It will be my job here to send you to some of them as I become aware of them like this one, the blog site of Jonny Bowden, the Rogue Nutritionist.  There are countless other resources that I will be sharing so sign up to get notices of when I’ve updated the site and come back often to get information that will help you, your family and friends or your clients achieve real health.

Hello world!

Hi, I’m Mark Schauss, MBA, DB and I have been researching health issues since 1983. Many of the early issues had to do with my own personal health journey battling depression, asthma as well as having become a broken down athlete. With the help of my more famous brother Dr. Alexander Schauss, PhD and then my mentor, the late John Kitkoski, I found a better way to approach health than the traditional methods being used today.

In my journey over the past almost 30 years, I’ve had the privilege and honor of meeting some of the giants of the alternative and complementary healthcare world like the late clinical nutritionist and dear friend Robert Crayhon, Parris Kidd, PhD, Dr. Mark Houston, MD, Dr. Ann McCombs, DO, Andrew Cutler, PhD and many, many more. What I have learned from them could fill a multi-volume encyclopedia. Instead, I’ve decided to head back to the blog site world as well as resume my podcast, Let’s Talk Real Health.

Please keep coming back for more news relating to all things health!!!
